EAV - Block Party Bikes

Living Walls put together an amazing block party this past weekend in East Atlanta Village.  Knitterati and GSU's Fiber, Fabric & Form students installed a fleet of bikes throughout the neighborhood as part of the event.  I made sure to get there as soon as possible.

Knitterati

Knitterati's "Communitree" is my favorite part of this year's Art on the Beltline. It's so beautiful to witness, and it reminds me of Carol Hummel's "Tree Cozy."

Magda Sayeg

"Kitters turn to graffiti artists with 'yarnbombing' Graffiti artists have added a new tool to their traditional aerosol cans - knitting needles and a ball of wool."

Artist Magda Sayeg is taking it to the streets. Thanks to Larson for sending me a link to this article.

"She set up the website Knitta Please, which started off as a group for frustrated knitters who didn't know what to do with their half-finished jumpers and scarfs and so started putting them over door handles."
