Laura Splan is a New York based mixed media artist. I love how biology and modern science influence her work. The tufted piece on top is titled "Prozac,Thorazine, Zoloft" and the lace below is
from a series of machine embroidered doilies that depict the cellular structure of diseases. This one is "Herpes."
