I stitched this card for my friend Fumiko's birthday 2 years ago.

Johnny Murder
I love the bright colors and anti-aesthetic feel of Johnny Murder's embroideries. He lives with his wife Penny Nickels in Portland, Oregon, and they both make wonderful stitch work. The piece above is titled "After the Rush Show," and he just interviewed me for his Manbroidery blog. Please check it out. Thanks Johnny!

Hilary Longley-Cook
I recently found out that my Great Uncle Hilary worked in fibers during retirement. His son Robert told me that, "He worked in wool, and in geometric patters - I think he enjoyed the fact that it was quite a mathematical process - get the math wrong and you were in for an evening of unpicking!" I have had many such evenings. All of his work were labors of love made to be passed down as heirlooms. This is a photo of a fire screen that he made for Robert and his family.
